wow - you got very lucky here.

Actually you were getting only 4.5-1 if you call the bb raise (rather than push) and I think hitting a set is 8-1 at best. You were last to act after bb raise, so I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish with the push.... You had no fold equity with the pot that large already. You should have folded to the bb raise, especially with that many callers.

After you push, the pot odds for everyone after you pretty much made it a mandatory call so they were all coming along for the ride. You had no fold equity in a pot that large, so you pretty much put your whole tournament on the line pre-flop with pocket 2s against 3 opps who were almost guarenteed to call.

this was a really bad play that happened to work out for you this time. Don't try this again, cuz you'll lose almost every time. Sorry if this is too blunt...

Ok, looks like I got some 'splainin to do.....

This call was the sole product of a little mental condition we poker players like to call TILT!!. I had gotten my stack whittled down by 2/3rds on consecutive river 2 outers, and just wanted to get it over with. figured with all the action on this table previously, I would get at least one caller, and could then quietly go about doing my laundry. I wasnt posting this hand to brag about stellar play. I guess I was just psyched that I finally got to be the sucker instead of the suckee......I think that's good....I dont know. If I wasnt hopelessly short stacked and totally tilted, I never would have done this.

It is nice to occasionally suck out on someone, and I've never made a final table in a big tourney (1000+) without being a preflop underdog and sucking out big time at least once. On that note, ... nh.

    so - Tales of Poker

And don't type "figured I had pot odds" when either you didn't think that, or you don't know what pot odds are.
