I could have, but i just wanted to see if it was easier to steal away pots postflop. Plus I suck postflop.

Don't go broke in a nothing pot on a flop that missed you. It's kinda early for it to matter, but I raise from the BB here to maybe convince him to fold his crap SB to me later, when it matters.

Also, raising gives you "the right" to CB.

That being said - only think you are worried about on this flop is a pocket pair. Overcards probably call you "it's only 50 chips".

I like the raise, but I happily fold to a reraise. In fact, I am probably folding the the turn if called and bet at again (unless I hit).

Does anyone think that checking an A 10-K from the bb when only the smb has completed in the first 2 levels is more +EV than raising due to the small size of the pot preflop and the implied odds? I don't know that it is, but many players think you are stealing when you bet out on A high flops. If they have A little, then it is obviously very +EV to check preflop.
