I'll just tell you up front, he had AK. Without knowing that, can I concievably lay it down on the river?

Any pair bigger then 6's beat you. The other K beats you. You'd still have over 5k in chips. I'd lay this one down.

You have a point. I try not to make a habit of laying down Full Houses heads up.

I would agree, most of the time. You have the ass end of a boat in this case.

His actions scream monster that he's trying to push on the river making it look like a bluff. I believe it was Rondavu that made a thread on this the other day.

yeah i was thinking king right after the river bet.

he check called flop, he wanted to trap you with his top pair. When he hit trips he really wanted to trap you and on the river he wanted to make you think he was making a bluff since you both played weak.

bet the turn. When he called/re raised, you would have known. If he outplays you with a 4 or 22,33 that's fine. I think you'll have to look far and wide to find opp who puts all his chips in here with less than a 6.

I think I made a mistake by showing the results here. I've got an aggressive opponent who didn't raise preflop, thus I can rule out any pair.

AK was highly unlikely. He set a trap for me... and I walked into it. Good for him. I put him on a King on the flop, but when there are three of them on the board. It's hard to maintain that read. Maybe I could have gotten away from it, but I'm willing to bet that a lot more of you get broke here than you're willing to admit.

Results or not, I would have said fold. The only way I would say to call is if you SUCK at heads up and feel the need to win it all here since you couldn't outplay him later.

As I said, this reeks of slowplay, fold it.

Calling a bet there would be fine (though probably a split), but the push would have made me fold, it screamed Kx or PP bigger than 6

You got p0wnt. It seems like your mistake is not believing he can check his bb with a good hand like 77 or a high K. I agree, it's not real likely that he has the last king in the deck. But he's smart enough to realize that the same is true for you.

I don't think you can rule out a pair > 66 here, unless he's your little sister or something. I bet he plays AA the same way.

He has to have a stone cold bluff 40% of the time for your call to be correct.

If your read ruled out opp. having a pp, it is an easy call. He will be bluffing/having the 4 more often than he has the K. I would have probably put him on the K on the flop and then abandoned that read just like you after the 3rd one hit. AGG opponents often give away the strength of their hands heads up when they just call, but with 3 Ks out, and a no pp read, I think a call is fine.

If opp. was folding from the smb or folding too much in general then I could find a laydown here. Recognising that type of opp. and grinding them down from behind always makes me happy.

edit: Zen makes a good point about your assumption that he didn't have pp.

Even an aggro opponent could be sandbagging with AK, AA, QQ. It's a common heads up strategy. I let this go - those river overbets are almost always a monster trying to get paid.
