    Looking back, I think I should make a 8-10$ blocking bet.. Thoughts?

    I don’t see how that makes a difference. The flush is not going to fold and is very likely to raise whatever you bet. He is not going to put you on a flush because he is going to think of it as a contest between a made hand (you) and a drawing hand.

    So lets say you bet 10$, are you going to lay it down if he raises to 20$? If so, then yes, you saved yourself money. If you are going to call it then checking and calling a reasonable bet is a better line.

    My thoughts were that a blocking bet here would take out the implied odds of his turn call and also avoid a possible bluff.

    And yes, I'd fold to any raise then of course. AQ/KQ would never raise a river bet.
