    Default Pokerstars tournament player tracking

The other day while I was grinding away on the Betfair limit tables, someone advertised a web site that tracked player stats for stars and party tourns.
I had a quick look and it looked quite a nice idea, but they were charging for use of the database. So being a tight wad I decided to provide myself with the same sort of thing.
So I have written a web page at http://www.zilch.homedns.org/poker/tournplayers.php which does something very similar.
At the moment it contains round 400 tourns mainly those which I have played. So it will contain mainly weekend touns during my waking hours. However, over the last few days I've been requesting most of the regular tourns that have run and will continue to do so. (This is a bit of a pain as I have to manually request each one and stars only allows 20 or so requests every hour).
The idea is that you can put the names of the players at your table and you will some basic stats about thier tourney performances. This is mainly for fun and general intrest.
If you try it and find any problems let me know. Its a bit rough and ready at the moment and I have a few things I want to change, but feel free to suggest some improvements.

I'm also in the process of writing a little app that is a more useful HUD that is specifically for tourns (e.g. overlay each players M and some other stuff that is floating around my head at the moment.)

Thanks for the link but that's not quite what I was setting out to do. That site only shows a players winning tourns it doesn't show all those that they don't place in. Also it's no different than me going through my poker tracker db player by player to get their stats. The idea of the web page is to give a one shot summary of players I'm up against.

I'm sure that there are sites that do this already (like the one I mentioned in my post) but I do this sort of thing as something to keep my occupied at work. PHP, C and Postgresql are all things I'm self taught and I do this just as a bit of fun to practice the stuff I'm learning. If I, or someone else finds it useful then great, if not then thats fine too

    It looks pretty good zilchy!

I have 21 tourneys recorded in that, which is quite a lot considering you have just started it.

How do you export the stats onto the website so easily?

My PokerTracker db goes back over a year and you have tourns in there going back to Feb this year. I use my linux server to host my PT db and on that I have written a little script to summarise all the tourn stats I have for each player and put them into a new db. It is that db that the web site looks at to get it's data.

Yep, Poker Tracker records everything about hands you play in. So it will build up data about what your opponents are doing as well.

For those that would like to see thier tourns added quicker than I can recall them then feel free to request your last "x" tourn histories from Stars and then email them to me.

Depends how many hands you are planning on importing.

Maybe about 1 minute per 1k hands.

Is this a free service? Must to donate your tourney histories as well?

Funny, eh? I actually was wondering whether the lookup service was free. However, I registered, and it is free. I already own PT.

    This is cool.
    Question:
Why does the ITM field have decimals if it is number of times the player finished ITM? It looks to me like that may be a percentage instead of actual number.
    Just wondering.

I'm gonna use this - let us know if you add more stuff (like the HUD)!

Your right it is the percentage of times the player finishes in the money.
The description is wrong and I need to change that.

    I run www.thepokerdb.com

We actually have a subscriber interface that shows more data, but we don't advertise it publicly. You can see a sample of it here: http://www.thepokerdb.com/sample.php

It shows many of the stats that zilch is attempting to show as well as a number of others. Our database is virtually complete with regards to Stars MTTs going back to May 2004. If you have any questions about what we claim to track, you can look at our FAQ.

Also, we like the idea of the multiple requests at once and we have something similar in the works along with a number of different types of rankings, etc.
