Folding to a min-raise?
This situation has come up a couple of times recently, and I wanted an opinion. Let's say the blinds are 50-100 and I've got 3000 chips. I raise to 250 6 handed with 88 in EP and a player in MP min-raises me to 500. I'm out of position and 250 chips isn't chump change. Do I call and fold when all overcards show up, which they inevitably will. Or do I just fold and save myself chips? Here's another situation that's similar to the last one. Blinds at 75-150 and I've got 2600 chips and have JJ in EP 6 handed. I raise to 400 and the BB min-raises me. He has about 600 chips left. Do I call and see a flop, fold, or reraise all in? I know there are some variables I'm leaving out, but generally what do you do with a min-raiser? It just seems like such a weak play to fold to a min-raise, but that's just me. Any thoughts?
