    Default Typical Hand

Here's a typical hand I couldn't get away from. I raised with good position, pre-flop and got mini-reraised. I called, hoping to get a ten on the flop. I did, and my opponent called away (of course; everyone just calls at low limits). When would you have folded this thing? I probably should have just dumped it preflop.

Well, I raised it preflop, because Harrington says so. Then, I called the mini-raise, since if I get in the habit of folding to mini-raises, people will do it every time. Then, I fired at the turn, since I thought I probably had the best hand.

hehe harrington =). I love that man, but folding AT here is fine. Probably more than fine.

    Preflop ok.
    Flop is fine.
Turn, I really contemplate checking behind here when he checks the scare card, and see how he responds on the river.

This is the first level of a Stars SNG? Raising preflop is debatable but I personally like it. The min-reraise makes bells go off in my head though. I call (mostly due to the same reasons you mentioned) but once I see the flop, I want to get to showdown as cheaply as possible. You might have the best hand, but I'd be putting my opponent on a big pair almost immediately after the preflop reraise. If you follow through with the reraise on the flop, and he flat calls, I agree with vq on checking behind on the turn.

This is just a good example of building a pot when you're not exactly sure where you stand. On top of that, I'm never in a hurry to get my chips in during the first few blind levels unless I've got the goods.

He showed you KK at the end, am I right?

I don't mind the aggression preflop, or the re-raise preflop. Once that flush completes on the turn, I'm probably check/folding... maybe check calling if the odds are right.

Firing the second shell on the turn is bad... the only things you can reasonably beat (overs, maybe a small PP) are laying this down on the flop, unless they're luring you in.

I smell a very small flush.

ATo in MP is marginally raisable... but why bother with blinds 10/20? Most of the reason you raise with AT is to steal blinds, and they aren't worth stealing. DEFINITLY fold to a re-raise! What do you think he is re-raising you with?? 88? Pot odds be damned here.

Maybe you can make a loose call here pre-flop if stacks are reversed. He can have my stupid 60 chips.
