I would probably bet at least 2/3rds of the pot on the turn, although I think erring on the side of caution with that hand is definitely a good idea.

I like it how it's played.

You put in more money at the turn, then your river bet becomes larger and you get bluffed off the pot if you check.

This one is all about cheap showdown with what amounts to the probable best hand, so you don't want to set yourself up to be bluffed - you're discouraging people from bluffing with your bet, which prices your showdown nicely. I wouldn't be surprised if your river bet took down the pot, or got called by an A high.

    Downswinging holla!
Anybody with a seven would most likely check the flop, so there's no reason the bet the turn. I don't blame you for betting the river, somebody with a 2 or a 6 might look you up.

I think a case can be made for betting or checking the turn, and the river. As played, is betting the river better than check/calling a pot sized bet or smaller. I don't think A high calls your bet. If a cheap show down is what you want (of course you do) then checking the river might be better. Someone has mid pockets and would likely pay you off on the river so I like the bet too. I guess the only way to mess this hand up is to let it get out of control, and since you didn't, nh.

I doubt you will get a call from any hand that you beat. I would check it all the way

i bet the turn because i dont want a A K or Q to come off and make me lose the pot. the pot is big enough to try and take down.
