1st hand of MTT, roughly 250 players, top 27 pay. I limp from late position with 45s, 5 players see flop which is AT6, AT in my suit. 2 people are all in before me, i am last to act. What do you do?

fold. Your 9 outs could very well be counterfeited. If you had a hand like JQs where your flush outs are more secure and you have a gutshot as well then I'd call.

fold - you have a shitty flush draw, not even close to the nuts. Pick a better spot - and its the first hand! Patience, grasshopper.

I did fold, was just wondering if it is the right play or not. Was quite strange really...both the players who were all in had T6o |

VCPoker. I probably should have mentioned that it was a qualifier for the VC Student Poker championships, so was free entry. However the play there is not usually hugely fishy, i guess because you have to be a student (in the UK) to enter, and students dont often have loads of spare cash, so if they play poker, they are most likely to be winning players. But there's a few fish in it still as you don't have ot deposit it play in it. |
