    Default $27 Turbo early QQ

    Too lazy for the HH

2nd hand of the tournie, even stacks (1500), blinds 10/20.

I get QQ UTG, raise it to 80, get two callers.

    Flop comes down 7s 2h 3s, I lead out 200 into a ~300 pot, get raised to 600.

I figure that 88-QQ makes this play (KK, AA not likely as no re-raise PF), as does a cagey person with a draw or 87.

Obviously my chief worry here is a set.

With no reads, I push here.

I push there as you played it.

Be careful varying the size of your bets preflop though. Do you always pop it to 4x teh big blind, because if you do that's fine. Try not to get in the habit of raising 4x with your very good hands and only 3x with your kinda good hands.

I vary my open raises based on the texture of the table and the blind size, but I don't vary between my individual hands.

I pushed here, because it seemed like there were many hands I was ahead of.

Push and hope that a set didn't hit. My money is on a set or flush draw. I don't think that your pre-flop raise is out of line due to the blinds being so low and you don't want a lot of callers.

Good answer and good reason to vary pf raises. I was just curious, as I know a few players who make the mistake of varying their raises with the strength of their hands.

I would push, you are probably ahead

Yep I'd push. If they got a set then oh well.

You get paid off by 88 - JJ, and even A7, more often than you lose to a better hand.
