Heh, um, I wouldn't say that. He called an all-in with K8s and got lucky. I know you were being sarcastic, though . Actually, I like the idea of call-pushing with AK. AK (suited at least) is a favourite to every single hand except AA and KK. It's nice to come over top of people sometimes, too, just to keep people honest.

Pretty sure AK is a (slight) dog to pairs down to 33.

That's actually what I don't like about limp-re-raise-all-in with AK. Many coinflips. I guess there are 60 chips in dead money in there.

Assuming they're going to call their whole stack with 33

BINGO....you get mid/small pair committed and they call you...you get your money in as a dog....i dont like limp reraising AK agaist bad players...they wont lay down a hand like 99 to ya.......

Also vq.........if you open raise this pot, I think you win it, the guy might not flat call a raise preflop with the k8.....but that is more results oriented......you want that action.........

The AK limp reraise works best at higher stakes when you do have some fold eq......and most of the time when i see it.......they dont just push.......they stick in a big raise. It is a decent play though, dont hate it, i jsut dont do it very often............

At the lower buy-ins, I don't think u get much folding equity from ppl raising with pairs and then folding.
The profits come from inexperienced playey calling off their whole stack with dominated hands like AQ,AJ,KQ or in your example K8s lol.

There is a WORLD of value playing post-flop against horrible, predictable players. Really!

I understand the logic behind your play, but I do not like it
    1. If you do not get raised you have to play your AK vs a large field, and even if an A or K hits you are still not feeling to comfertable.
    2. If you get called it will usually be by 77-AA, AK, AQ - the only hand you dominate is AK.
    3. If you dont get called you picked up a small pot.

Fnord - I agree, but PP 800 chipers are too shallow to play post flop at all.

Well, that's an exaggeration. You can lose 1 hand post flop in an 800 chipper, after than it's a 2-street game at most.

He calls and is playing AKs OOP 4-way. Flop comes 843r. If you put any money in at all - and don't win - you are push/fold until you double up.

I guess he can re-raise small... then maybe he isolates but the pot is twice as big - he's still committed by a pot-sized bet (or 2 1/2 pot bets).

i always think of ppl as weak for pushing their big hands into nothing pots. it seem like they WANT to blame luck if they lose, rather than themselves. the problem is that when you lose control of your chips (move all in), you lose any ability to further affect the hand. its just not poker anymore.

all of the hands you have posted today have been played the same way. all in, regardless of pf action. the move-in-specialist misses out on a LOT of edges created by seeing a flop.

    dont play scared, play flops.
