    OK Preflop.
Popping it here to 150 isnt bad by any means and is probably wat I shouldve done. I wouldve done it if i were in later position.

If i pop it to 150 and get one caller the pot is at 350, and I have 650 chips, and Im probably getting it all in on the flop.

    Line check and help please.
Im thinking the way I played it
I should have bet pot and get the rest in if reraised?

I raise PF here. Blinds are worth stealing?

Why not just pot the frop? Not that bad since you have the Jd You might get a call from Td.

I dont really like the all-in on the flop, pot the flop and see.

    preflop you call.
what are you doing if someone raises?
why does the fact you're in early position make u want to limp?

what is your rationale for playing the flop the way you played it?
what is one holding your opponent could have pushing the flop would give you *significant* benefit vis-a-vis potting?

Its esentially the conundrum of short stack poker.

THey are wroth "stealing" but i doublt a 3xBB is getting me folds. And I dont want folds either. BUt on a A high K high or Qhihg board, im shitting my panbts becuase the pot is like half of my stack and I want those chips. I cant maneuver, I can just look at the chips and cry.

Im thinking that the best line for this hand postflop
wouldve been to bet the flop and if need be, get all my chips in

with your line I like to pot the flop and get rest in.

This is the perfect hand to open UTG with 3x.

    Everyone folds? YAY blinds!
Someone re-raises? YAY coinflip or better!
1-2 callers? YAY play post flop!

Only thing that really sucks is multiple callers preflop.... which is what you are practically guarenteed if you limp. At least limping is cheaper though.

I think this is where Harrinngon's semi-randomized raise size comes in handy. If you vary your raise size (randomly, so you are hard to read), then you can raise 4x/5x here with no tell and isolate/get folds for sure.

But in SNGs... I still think you have to raise consistantly - because the sample size (of you raising) is so small that you will either a) give info or b) just be raising randomly to avoid giving info.

Your stack is almost 6x the pot, even on an ugly 3 to a straight, 3 to a flush flop I wouldn slide unless my stack was less than 3x pot. In this situation I'd slide if I had less than 375 in my stack. I'd have to agree with the others, pot bet the flop, the rest can go in on the turn.
