Default AK suited/w A 4 2 flop. Updated! added similar hand

Alright I'm asking for a little bit of criticism here.

I felt that I played the hand right, if the guy was willing to call my $425 flop bet, that he weither had a high pocket pair and was fishing for his set.. or he had a high kicker but not high enough to call my all in raise.

I just feel like I could have sucked him out more, but if he indeed was fishing then if he caught on the river I woulda been dead.

Do you guys think the all in move in this case was a good idea?

This time I think my all in push was a good idea. While the turn brought the straight draw as well, if I didn't hit I think the guy had 2 pair, or a pair of 10s with a high kicker.

I guess my logic for all of these all in pushes is that they had position on me and I didn't want them to limp into the river and catch

Like the last hand I didn't want to get beat on the river, and better safe than sorry. I know I would have won atleast 1 of those hands if the river came, and won more.. but I'd rather be safe than sorry..

SOMEONE TELL ME I MADE THE RIGHT MOVE. lol

I also didn't calculate the odds, mayeb if I had I woulda laid back a little bit.

I don't think that 22 would see that flop. 44 is possible. A8 would be very loose to see the flop AND the turn. You are ahead here. Value bet the turn and go for stacks.

Yeah see I put the guy all in on the turn, i figure if he called the flop he's got something good and is obviously willing to play it out and would call my all in.

Why wouldn't 22 see this flop?

That is some pretty terrible logic. If he obviously has a good hand then that good hand will beat your marginal TPTK hand. VERy few people at the 2k nl tables will CALL a huge allin bet when they can't beat TPGK. So basically by going allin there you are only going to get called when you are beat and when you do have them beat you will get no value from worse hands. I really do not think you are ready for those games, even the very best players on the internet have a relatively small winrate in those games. I'm not trying to insult you or anything i'm just trying to stop you fromj likely losing alot of money.

I understand you, I've made about 20k at these tables over the past few days :P.

So far I've only made 2 dumb dumb moves like that.

First hand I agree with the push somewhat, Pot was good enough no need to let him catch for cheap, but i think someone said above a value bet would be just as well 1/2 pot or 3/4 pot. When you throw your stack around like that the only hands that call have you smoked.

Second hand, you could have kept control of the hand by leading out with another bet and take it from there, if he moves in you have an interesting decision to gambool or not. Again if you get called you are left praying for one of your many outs but still never like to get all money in when behind but you had fold power being first to move in and such.

Let me also caution you that you seem to be running very good to be up $20K in a week or 2. That is only 10 buy-ins. You can easly burn through a good bit of that when the cooler comes....ie. you loose AA and KK busted, set over set, fh over fh. Those hands happen a lot at all levels and can be especially costly in the $2000 game.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

In reference to the first hand, the only hands that you will make fold are those who are down to three outs to beat you. Thus an all-in isn't really called for.

Second hand I like the all-in.
