Default JJ late game ($5 SnG)

Seat 1: Malteman ($1,920 in chips)
Seat 3: andricml ($3,305 in chips)
Seat 4: yeaap ($1,900 in chips)
    Seat 5: j.c.x.x ($3,495 in chips)
Seat 6: im nogenius [JD,JS] ($1,910 in chips)
Seat 10: The Huba ($2,470 in chips)
    ANTES/BLINDS
Malteman posts blind ($75), andricml posts blind ($150).

    PRE-FLOP
yeaap folds, j.c.x.x bets $300, im nogenius calls $300, The Huba folds, Malteman folds, andricml bets $300, j.c.x.x calls $150, im nogenius calls $150.

    FLOP [board cards 5S,4D,5H ]
andricml bets $500, j.c.x.x folds, im nogenius ???

    ---

j.c.x.x had minraised several times before, so I didn't put him on much of a hand. On the other hand, andricml had never re-raised, but it was only a min re-raise, so I felt obliged to call.

    Is that a mistake?

Also, given these reads, what do you do on the flop?

Looks like a standard continuation bet from the pre-flop aggressor. I'm liking my over pair in this situation and pushing.

I don't like calling min-raises pre-flop, I probably would have pushed there. Would that be such a bad play?

Any reads on UTG? Because I push over here unless there is an underlying read that the guy is very passive.

preflop call is fine. don't think you can lay down JJ to that flop, and calling 500 commits you - so push. If opp has AA-QQ, nh - gg.

I would probably go All In preflop. There is plenty in the pot right now. At worst you may have a coinflip. You may get called by a weaker pair.
Post flop i would probably push. Heads up JJ is pretty strong.
The race doesn't always go to the fastest or the strongest but it's a pretty good bet.
