Capitalizing on opponents mistakes
I just played a guy HU in a 20+2 SnG on Bodog, this guy was making the minimum raise preflop. The blinds were 250/500, and 2xBB was his standard raise, so I knew he wasn't trapping. I get 57o in the BB, I've still got 2500, so at 3-to-1 I figured it was worth seeing a flop. I decided that if I get any piece and there's no ace on the flop I'm pushing. Flop = 679 I push and he folds. I know he probably would've bet AI with ace high if I cheked, but I didn't want to gamble. Here's where it payed off, in my next BB i get 57o again, 2xBB out of SB again, same plan. Flop = Ten,6,5 I push really fast trying to make it seem like I planned to push no matter what the flop was. He dosn't even hesitate to call me with A4, and I go on to win.
His mistake was raising to 2xBB instead of just moving in. The BB was 500 and there was only 10,000 in chips on the table! It was like he wanted me to hit the flop.
