ummm, wow, dude had bottom pair with no draw. I'd say you were lucky to get called by such a weak hand for that much.
You should never wave at people you don't know, cause what if they don't have a hand. They'll think you're cocky. "Look what I got motherfucker, this thing is useful, I'ma go pick somethin up."

Note that he's playing 54s UTG on the first hand of the tournament.

    My thought process here:

    1. I figured this was a fairly unique opportunity to make this move...I find the stupid overbet really annoying and I suppose it is generally assumed that it's just a draw. However, I actually have a hand here, TPNK, with a draw to a bigger hand; a semi-bluff with a made hand, if you will.

    2. I figured I could make a better hand, like J10, fold; frankly I'd have a hell of a time playing this hand after the flop if I pot it and get called. I also figured I have a draw to beat a better hand that calls and I can still beat someone who calls with overs and/or flush draw.

It didn't occur to me that I could get called by a much worse hand with no draw.

Freakish, I think. I would expect calls from AT, maybe very silly KT, 2-pair, set, OESD (89), flush draw. T9/T8 also g00t (top pair/gutshot)

Note that you are gambling against alot of these hands - especialyl flush draws with extra outs from straights/overpairs.

The pot is pathetic. Don't be a crack head. Check call the flop, or check raise if you have fold equity. Don't go all in. It's really really bad with 80 chips in the middle and a vulnerable hand.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?

You're risking your entire tournament with a weak hand for 100 chips in the pot...

Not only is your kicker the worst you can have (its not TPNK - its TPWorstK), but your draw is for a baby-flush. You were very lucky to be called by a true idiot with bottom pair, instead of ATspades.... I wouldn't make a habit of this. And a double-up this early assures you absolutely nothing, except the table image of a crazy person.... which actually may work for you later on... but thats another story...

And I agree with Rondavu - lay off the crack when you play poker...

It'd be tough for AT spades to be out against me when I have T spades.

BTW, I thought I'd run my odds vs. a range of hands that could justifiably call:

    Ts2s vs. Ah Ad 50.7%

    Ts2s vs. 7h7d 30.4%

    Ts2s vs. KsQs 51.4 %

    Ts 2s vs. Js9s 50.4 %

    Ts2s vs. Ad10c 44.6%
