still fairly early in the tourny, and the only read I have is Cutter has showed down 2 big hands which he was pretty aggressive with, no reads on the other two callers...

Sorry to say it Tom but I think you've made this hand much, much more of a difficult decision than it could have been.

First off, why did you limp w/ AJo in that position? What were you looking for? (Two pair or J-high flop, no obvious str8 or flush draws would be best cases I think)
You now have almost no idea where you are with a medicore hand.

Unfortunately for you, you have hit your Ace and now there's all kinds of action ahead of you with TWO more people to play behind.

As this is so early in the tourney and because of the betting I would put your posibilities down to:
    (a) Fold (weak yes but only 30 chips invested so far) or
    (b) push all-in.

You cannot just call because it is likely that the BB is drawing for the flush and calling (even without the two players to come) gives him 7.5-1 odds (900/120). SB could be testing the waters w/ a pair although being first to act and so may players to go through seems a bit foolhardy - I'll guess Ax.

What were the two "big" hands Cutter played earlier and how did the action progress - limp then aggressive w/ big pair/big slick or was he limping w/ Ax and hitting two pair?

Personally, I wouldn't play AJo in that way in that position.
I think you may well be in trouble (2 pair / set) but might get lucky w/ Ax, flush or str8 draws.

I would chose to fold this scenario. Plenty of better opportunities to get your chips in later.
<Jessie May>Try reading that poker face.
<Grub Smith>There's a lot of face to read. It really is a big head.

By my calculations, if he can safely assume that the BB will not raise, he's getting 11:1 on his money. I'd be in on that just for shits and giggles.

That min-rereaise after a bet and a smooth call screams monster. Get out of Dodge.

FOLD. You have no interest in this sketchy spot with one pair jack kicker. I like the preflop limp by the way.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

The limp is fine as long as you can fold when this happens afterwards.

Well said. I think you need to be able to fold when this happens whether you raised or limped however.

I also agree with both of these. Well played as long as you fold.

I folded. Turn brought a non spade J, the two blinds checked, and UTG took it down with a ~300 bet, which with the limp afterwards made me think he had a hand like AT or AJ, maybe even AQ, but those blinds had me thinking two pair or a set even. Glad to hear I played it right, thanks guys.

2 limpers and a raiser with 6 seeing the flop... not likely you are ahead, and if you are, it ain't by much (flush draws). I would take AJ spades to the felt here.... and might get frisky with AsJx.

But otherwise, yay! Mediocre hand only cost you T$30.
