I probably call. AA/KK push into a tiny pot seems unlikely. People do this with mid and small pockets, and you can never rule out the lv1 kamakazis who think J8s is a license to print money! |

This seems like a goofy play from a loose aggressive player trying to get lucky and double up on the first hand and play big stack poker.

oh, i should add that if it were a live tourney i might fold, just because i probably spent some time getting to the tourney, etc. and i want to play a lot more hands.

back when i was learning to play, i would pull this move with rockets early in a tourny and someone would always call using the same logic posted above. But that was at the 5s and i haven't played stars in a while, so i don't know what the general level of play is at the 15s. |

Nice to know that everyone else would have gone out in 9th place too when he flipped over AA |

Without an Ace or King on the flop he could've accoumplished the same thing by raising big pre-flop and pushing on the flop. I've actually lost to AA once in a similar situation, but I've also doubled up early many times in this situation too.

Making this play with AA/KK in a "unknowwn" $15 tourney is probably -$EV.
