Default Mid pair played to showdown.

Any thoughts on this play? Am I a complete donk? I truly didn't have a good read except to say I obviously didn't believe him. And I pretty much commited myself on the turn bet purposely. Was that a bad move?

P.S. I just played a tourney that had 5 people make it to level 7 - Unheard of. Update - 4 made it to level ten and I won. (This P.S. is totally unrelated to the hand history tourney.)

What's the buy in here?? You'd have to think the limp call is either AK or a PP. He could have a set of 5's (maybe 2's) but I'd be willing to bet those two, 66-JJ and AK all play it the same. You're ahead of 66-88 and AK and behind 44, 55, TT, and JJ. You pretty much commited yourself on the turn, so call and pray you're ahead or fire up another one.

    I think he's got quad 5s or AK.\

i think you either have to give him credit for the 5 or an overpair, maybe an A3 or something crazy like that. either way, it doesnt look too good. about the only other option is he just doesnt believe you hit that flop and thinks his A high is good. but if he thought that he should have led the turn, not try the CR.
unless hes a complete idiot, he saw that your turn bet committed you and he knew he wasnt going to be able to push you off with his AI raise, which makes me think you are beat (or at least he thinks he has you beat), but you have to call the raise and hope for the best at this point.
