Assume you are a 4 - 1 favorite. Do you want to risk your tourney life for 200 extra chips? Your bet gave him the wrong pot odds (200 to win 650), but seeing as you aren't folding, his implied odds are 200 to win 1250. Not really as bad as it seems though, considering he is less than 4 to 1 on the flop alone and you are definitly pushing after any flop. If you had been pushing preflop previously, then I push preflop for sure- it looks less scary than a smaller raise. I like to bet at least enough that they are compelled to call my flop push due to it being a little smaller and the pot being a little bigger. I think pushing is fine and raising is fine, but with 2 limpers I am going bigger than 3bb to isolate, give worse than slightly bad odds, and because I don't mid taking the 350 in the pot either. Sticking half your stack in or pushing is probably the best way to go.
VQ- I can't argue with the push. It looks less suspicious than a half your stack raise to most and is probably just as likely to be called. Is there anything inherently wrong with the 1/2 stack raise?
