    Default check behind?

do I go out in the garage and find a hammer to drop, or check behind on this one? the only read I have on him is he had been playing basically anything preflop and had a lot of showdowns...
should I find a raise on this hand preflop on the button? so far the table had been playing fairly loose, not sure if that should factor in to the equation, but for me it did...

3 things- 1)You are repping tptk the whole way. 2)Opp. has shown a willingness to take his line on a variety of hands including having the 9, tptk, or the draw. 3) He has shown a willingness to show down, so he isn't laying down anything that beats you.

I would check it because he isn't laying AJ/KJ down to a raise and you did not play this hand like you were holding a 9.

Check on the river. Max makes good point.

He was either on a very good draw, a 9, or a set. Nothing he could have that you beat calls anything but a tiny bet here, and you really can't get c/rd

thanks for the input. I ended up checking behind there and he showed a pair of jacks with, and a 7 kicker I believe so I took it down. I dont think I took into account all the reasons you all gave for me to check behind when I did, but I'm working on making that part of my process in making the reads, very helpful.
