A couple thinks that I was thinking about as I thought about what to do...

    1) Jalapenos is probally pot commited (i say probally because he stunk, and might have folded with half his money in preflop)

    2) bull-2426 is laggy.

    3) I'm hurting for chips, and there are a LOT of chips in this pot.

so, push or fold? (or even call and push on a low card flop?)

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

You finish the action here getting better then 7:1 with 99. Folding is not an option. I like a call here, but I wouldn't argue against a push. It would set up a nice squeeze on the original raiser and first caller.

This isnt a ring game where pot odds are crifical...

In fact in a MTT, it's sometimes better to play even when you know your on the bad side of a 70/30 and dont have the odds because of chip posistion.

In this case I felt that there was a GOOD chance that if i didnt hit a set I would most likely lose the MTT, I decided to fold and look for a better situation... To much of a chance of pairing a better card than my 9's in a 4 way pot....

You're getting 7.26:1 here. There is 8:1 odds that you hit a set, not counting the odds that your 9s are ahead. Call and see if u can get a check/down or hit a set. If the board comes high and someone bets the dry sidepot, dump it.
