    They were suited!
There's a lot that Side Sho Bob could have here, including two broadway. I check/call a harmless river and check/fold to a sizable bet with plenty of chips still behind.

I also fold 88 UTG half the time with the blinds this low.

This is tough. Any read? You should have a little somethin' of a read by now. Has he normally been folding to c-bets?

I think I only bet half pot on the flop rather that pot. Then we can assume he would call. I would continue betting half pot and make a decision on a reraise.

As you played it I probably agree with Andy.

I limp PF but a raise isnt wrong, just a different style.

I raise about 600 on the turn, expectinging I have the best hand, only fearing a set (now full house) but Im willing to get all my chips in here.

You've pretty much commited yourself with your flop bet and the 5 on the turn is one of the best possible cards. He probably would have pushed a higher pair on the flop to protect from draws. It's hard to imagine what he could be cold calling with on the flop. Maybe a donk with A8 or K8. If you know he's a good player, then the only hand he could cold call with on that flop is a made straight, but then again, a good player probably wouldn't call that bet with 89 (but there are exceptions to this).

I push this without a second thought.

i think with these stacks and this number of players, i definietly raise this preflop.

Agreed. Folding 88 UTG 5-handed is a pretty terrible play.

Jeez, I reply and by the time it refreshes there two more posts . Anyways I dont see anything wrong with limping or raising. I cant understand a fold 5-handed.

Always, always raise here. I think Hydro played it perfect, he just needs to push the turn.

    *** TURN *** [5d 7s 6h] [5s]
Hydroseeds: bets 1490 and is all-in
Side Sho Bob: calls 1440 and is all-in
    *** RIVER *** [5d 7s 6h 5s] [6s]
    *** SHOW DOWN ***
Hydroseeds: shows [8h 8s] (two pair, Eights and Sixes)
Side Sho Bob: shows [Ts Th] (two pair, Tens and Sixes)
Side Sho Bob collected 4355 from pot

Pretty much posted here to make sure I was playing it right.

I'd been having bad luck all day...all my medium hands running into ones that have me dominated. Guess this is just another one of them.

In hindsight however....Should I have put the pieces together that the only hand he would call 4xBB with, and then a CB of the pot, is a higher PP?

I think he got really lucky, this is one of the only flop/turns in which he is going to destack you since he only called postflop. I really dont think it was avoidable though.

Hydro he could have had two over cards so your turn push wasnt bad IMO...it had to happen I guesss you were just unlucky to run into that flop and then miss all your outs..

He made a really bad play not protecting his hand on the flop. Even so, you still had outs and you made the right play.

standard. If he re raises the flop MAYBE you can fold, with the call I think you have to go with it.

The idea of folding 88 here made me throw up in my mouth. I can see a limp but mostly if you've been raising a LOT already.

I love this line although I would have put "a little bit" at the end. :P
