    Default Truth in numbers

I've recently looked at some of my poker tracker results over the past year and I found a couple of things fascinating. I know they are obvious things but I thought I'd share anyway.

I've played over 52K hands. Obviously every hand was represented - 169 hands. I had poket rockets 230 times and won with it 86.96 percent of the time which is slightly above the result you get using pokerstove - 85.2.

So now that I'm looking at some of the obvious things does anyone know the real things to evaluate in PT that will help identify leaks?

Study the big pots you've been losing. Look for trends I guess. I havn;t found PT exremely useful for fixing sng leaks, I just use it more for stat-keeping and ring.

try and filter for AK hands that you
    1) First raiser (not necessarily first in)
    2) Cbet flop
    3) Level 1 and 2

and tell me if u are up chips or down chips, and avg chips/hand made.

    Hmm, interesting excercise.

Well I didn't know how to filter for levels 1 and 2 but for the other filters there were 53 hands, up 2838 chips for an avg of 53.55. Is this useful?

    Thanks VQC.

just wondering how the many ways of playing AK resulted in wat types of return.
if only we could filter for L1 and L2 becuase this + value also includes hands where u went all in in later levels and stuff like that.

OK, I think my first filter had a default filter on that messed with things. I reset all filters and tried again. I filtered for AK, PFR,CBET and hands with 8 - 10 players. The last filter should eliminate the late push play. Here's what came up.

I messed around a bit more and found that I'm actually losing in late position and winning in early position. Very odd. - Maybe I'm overvaluing the hand in LP and playing a bit more cautiously early.

Oh well, it's fun to be messin' with.

    94 Hands
    71% Wins
    Won 8643
    Avg 91.95
    Won$atSD 55.26%

Interesting stuff. I also found the following which is pretty cool.

rasing in late position after multiple limpers and c betting is killing u!
thats the only possible conclusion! =D.

look into it, it could bring revelations.

...you also could make bad conclusions based on a small sample size.

AK is a very swingy hand. It wasn't uncommon for me to go 10k or more hands showing a net loss.

i am the purveyor of sample size!!!!!!

iv talked to gabe about this and he loked at wat his numbers were telling him.

Either way it always leads to a good disucssion.

Hmmmmmm......There are 7 more like this. So do I limp with the rest(That doesn't sound good.) or not c-bet?

    Good call VQC.

BTW - I think PP is testing me now. I've had AK 4 times today within the first 3 lvls of tourney and I've only had a handfull. I've limped all and had to fold when nothing hit.

Here's one from today. I don't know why these hands are giving me such trouble lately. I really need to raise these preflop, no? (As I write this another one is up and it's suited. I'll post that too.)

    Any help?
