this is.. a little too manic and way too general. Post some hand examples.

Think less about your cards and more about position, your image and the actions you have seen those limpers take after a raise.

Theory of Poker is well worth your time.

If the limpers have proven to run away when a raise comes in, then yes, I would say it is a good spot to raise. If the limpers, or at least one of them has mixed it up... you may want to simply call on the button and have position postflop or just fold.

    Why do people limp?
    1) Because they are fish and play too many hands
    2) Because they are laggy and think they can out play you post flop
    3) Because they read a book about implied odds.
    4) Because they are trapping with a big hand (or a hand they think is big)
    5) Because they like their hand, but not enough to raise it (see 1)

So, some of these guys are going to fold only to a big ass raise, some never, and some to any raise. If you are raising to try to steal the limps, then KJ+image is no better or worse than anything. People don't typically limp AK/AJ, but KQ is not uncommon and AX is pretty common and will often call marginal raises. Stack size is a huge issue here... the smaller my relative stack the less likely I am going to make this play without going a/i
