    Default Best strategy ever

This has been my best strategy to date (happened last night):

Get free $5.50 ticket from Pokerroom (from bitching about their horrible tourney server). Plunk it down on a 10-man SNG. Promptly get disconnected from tourney server, then from ISP (damn dial-up). Take 20 minutes to get reconnected, to find out I'm short stack in 5th place . Play two hands (AK and QQ), get some chips, and get booted off again. Repeat procedure for another 10 minutes, down to final three and the $ . Get disconnected once more and reconnect just in time to see the middle stack lose to the big stack (Why didn't he just wait me out?) Play against the big stack for 2 hands and lose a coinflip hand, but cash in 2nd. Aside from the frustration of the disconnects, not bad....maybe I should try this more often.

I need some SERIOUS HELP LOL

    Dude,
You don't need help, you just need DSL.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

    Very true!

I also need my own computer so I can quit spending QUALITY TIME with the in-laws (few blocks away) on their computer playing poker LOL.

Gotta build the bankroll enough to buy a computer or become less of a tightwad LOL

Or buy the inlaws DSL for Groundhog Day or something like that!!!

that's sooooo sad. Not sure which is sadder:

1 - that you have no computer
2 - that the only computer you can use is a dial-up
3 - that your in-laws LIVE ONLY A FEW BLOCK AWAY!!!!

I think #3 is the saddest. good luck, dude...

Right, Right, and Right again!! Ha Ha!! Please realize that I think it is as funny as you do. I can laugh at myself pretty well...

    1) Their computer is free, and I can do other things on the web at work. So I didn't see the sense in spending $$$ on a computer when one was provided for me. Now that I have begun to dabble in this arena, my view point is rapidly changing. If my work computer would let me through the firewall, I would sneak in a little poker on their broad band, but no such luck.

    2) This will be remedied as soon as I take care of #1!!!!

    3) This will be remedied in a few years. Saving for a down payment for a house and all kinds of other things that would bore you to tears But you are right--they drive me NUTS sometimes (but so does my wife LOL)

Konahead, have you been married? If not, save this in your memory banks for when you do THEN, and only then, will you fully understand!!!

I'm just playin with you, dude.

Yes, I'm married (to an Raider ex-cheerleader who loves the gym and just had some upper body work done!) so of course we need to keep them happy. I've probably got 10 years on you, so I know how it is to struggle. I'm sure you'll do fine.

btw - my inlaws used to live a few blocks away, so I feel for you. Fortunately mine moved up north a couple of years ago - life is goooood.

and again - I was really just making a joke with you, not on you. I wish good luck to you and your family.

How old are ya Kona? I will be 32 this year. Already got the practice marriage under the belt and got the second one going (no more for me). Kinda like starting over, though. Want to live closer to my daughter, but its cheaper to live outside the city while saving money....so I guess I have to put up with the in-laws for a while... Congrats on the ex-cheerleader!!! I am jealous

I am guessing you are early to mid 30's too, then. We probably have a lot in common. You probably even chuckle at my avatar!!

Didn't mean to come across sensitive. Nobody laughs at me more than I do. The guys around here at work constantly rip each other--too hard to pass the time otherwise!!

no - you came across fine. I just didn't want you to think I was a dick.

And your avatar is funny - and mine is just wishful thinking....
