    Default PokerRoom huge minimum turn and river bets

    Anyone notice how in a NL game on PokerRoom, the minimum bet doubles once you get to the turn?

    When the blinds are small it's not a big deal, but when it's 100/200 if you call in the SB and the BB checks, it's a 400C pot, if you both check the flop what's the min bet on the turn? 400!!!! you have to bet the pot or check WTF!!!

    My solution? DON'T CHECK THE FLOP!!! I always position bet the flop HU late in a pokerroom SnG, it's simply too expensive to bluff on the turn or river. On other sites I don't mind checking the flop if have no pair and no draw, cuz if they check the turn I can pick up the pot there.

    For those of you asking why even bet? Simple, the only way my HU opponent can win with Queen high is to call/raise me with Queen high, that's just my style.

    I not only noticed it, but was ignored by the support team when I brought it to their attention. It's down right fucking annoying if you ask me.

    If it's just the blinds with no PFR, a min bet is 1/2 the pot and very late in a SnG a significant chunk of my stack, in a raised pot I rarely min-bet.

    The only other time I might consider a min bet would be if I was 1st to act on the river and wanted to block my opponent from bluffing a scarry river. Thanx PokerRoom for taking away my options!!

    so they treat NL the same as limit, where the turn bet doubles? That sucks. I wouldn't play there - there are what, a hundred poker sites? why play there?

    I love the 8 minute blind structure so I can't leave. I really don't have a problem with the big min-bets because the pot is usually too big to worry about it anyway.
