initially I thought it was a risky slow play, but he almost surely has JJ+ to re raise here, so he's either drawing to a set or has you hammered, so I decided it was OK. I don't really get the super small turn bet. Either charge him more or let him keep lead.

If you're not reraising the flop, bet more on the turn. At least 1000 on the turn. You might even push the turn to make it look like you're trying to buy the pot.

yeah, the turn bet was too small your'e right...i could have bet more and he would have called most likely provided he still had reasonable pot odds.

he had a 7 huh? what kind of hand reraises big preflop with a 7?
and why wouldnt he rerasie or push the river?
seriously how the hell do you think he has a 7?

Looks to me like he can't bring himself to lay down J-J/Q-Q or he's flopped a big set and you are drawing dead.

I think the bold is the key to the betting pattern employed by our hero. Often you see an AA or KK flop a set and min bet to trap. On this board, you're either way ahead or way behind. Based on preflop action, the value can be gained on the back end while exercising caution early. I think you see where you're at on the turn here, and make a big river value bet. Calling the flop was fine.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I don't think he had a big set otherwise he would have reraised on the river. I think he had AQ or perhaps AJ, possibly QQ or JJ that he just couldn't laydown. Given the amount of money in the pot preflop and the relatively small bets on the flop and turn, the QQ JJ scenario is quite possible. When the bet was 1000 on the river he just couldn't lay it down with the amount he had put into the pot.

by george, he's got it!! AQo was his hand- he mucked , but the HH revealed it. after seeing that, his actions make sense- top pair with a Q kicker- I stronger turn bet would have no doubt been called...
