    Default Question about stats

I am not sure if anyone will be able to provide any input or if the sampling is too small, but what the heck. You never know till you ask.

I have been playing a mix of 11's and 22's at Absolute Poker lately while clearing their awesome bonus. I can't get the results into my SNG tracker (one of the MANY reasons I will be leaving there very soon) so I did some manual calculations on my last 30 tourney's and came up with the following.

    Overall
    ITM 13/30 (43%)
    1st 2/30 (6.66%)
    2nd 4/30 (13.33%)
    3rd 7/30 (23.33%)
    Bubble (4th or 5th) - 10/30 (33.33%)
    Gain in Bankroll 16%

Broken down by entry the numbers are slightly similar
    22's
    ITM 5/14 (35%)
    1st 1/14 (7%)
    2nd 1/14 (7%)
    3rd 3/14 (21%)
    Bubble 5/14 (35%)
    DECREASE in Bankroll 10%

    11's
    ITM 8/16 (50%)
    1st 1/16 (6%)
    2nd 3/16 (18%)
    3rd 4/16 (25%)
    Bubble 5/16 (31%)
    Gain in Bankroll 62.5%

My question is (if the sample is large enough that is) are these numbers average or above/below average?

I think that they are too weighted to 3rd place or bubble finishes which may mean that I am either playing too tightly prior to that (although I haven't noticed that I get into that situation short stacted too often) or that I am getting too reckless when the table gets smaller.

Any general thoughts based on these numbers?

BTW, most of the $ won at the 22 level has been recently as my last 5 tourneys have produced one 1st place, one 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes.

Is it possible that the talent is slightly better at the 22's and it has just taken a while for my game to adjust?

    Sample size too small

what he said... BUT at PS I am reasonable confident that the 22s have more above average and few terrible players than the 11s. It doesn't take many people who understand about bubble pushes to cut into your ROI.

Sample size is way too small for any real analysis

However you pointed out yourself that you have way too many 3rd and 2nds and too few firsts.

Either you play to get ITM and end up short stacked when ITM or if you get ITM with average+ stack you are either too reckless (you lose pots that go to showdown) or too tight (you lose a lot of your stack by folding)

I think more important than your stats is how did you play in all of those tourneys? did you get AA and double up then fold into the money, did you have a stack that was constantly fluctuating due to erratic play, etc. If you were playing well, and taking pots when available, then I think the stats will work themselves out. If you are just trying to figure out roughly where you are skill-wise compared to others, then thats a hell of a lot more difficult, and i dont think raw numbers can do that, regardless of sample size.
