I'm posting the results because they're relevant to my question--namely, should I have played this hand a bit slower? I've had aces cracked enough that I'm worried I overplay them and am losing value. Thoughts?

You played it exactly right. You have 2 diamonds, and 2 straight cards on the flop. Don't slowplay AA most of the time. Also, realize exactly what your $200 bet means. If I bet $200 in that spot, I'm saying "I want value up front with top pair", "I want drawing hands to pay the wrong price", and most importantly...

"Am I still ahead with one pair of aces?"

Big pairs lose value on 4th and 5th street. Bet strong early. Figure out where you're at, and take it down if you can when you're ahead.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

You bet the pot with an overpair and a few scare cards. I am happy to take the pot there as well, with AA or any other high pair. You would have been pissed had BB had something like K9 and got a 9 on the turn. If you get called, watch out (someone may have have hit a set), but otherwise I think you did the right thing. I don't want any SD or FD to get there either....

    Well played, sir.....

It's certainly nicer to sit here wondering if you could've gotten more money then to have to post a HH where you checked the flop and the guy made his flush and took you to the house.
