Just some thoughts as I don't know if I'll even bet football this weekend.
I know Carolina is tough, and I love their ATS results. However, I think some of this Steve Smith stuff is overblown. Not to say he's not an awesome player, but I'm thinking that DeShawn Foster made the last few weeks happen for him and the team. Eg, Chicago simply had to respect Foster's threat and couldn't scheme enough coverage for Smith (aside: the cat & mouse game was funny with each team talking about how they had to stop the run, and then both of them passing so much.) With Foster out, it's a lot easier to game plan for the Panthers.
Pepper's shoulder injury makes me slightly nervous about the under in that game. I just see it as a potential weak spot that could open this game up...
I do like the Broncos to cover. Their D line is solid and it seems to me that they can cover pretty well. Big Ben looks good, but they aren't near as susceptible as the Colts to those big pass plays. Yes, the Steelers are tough on D, but when I saw Ron f*ing Dayne go nuts in that one game, it made a believer out of me in Bronco's O-line. Plummer's mobility might prove to be the difference as it makes the Steelers play more honest on D and opens them up to nice plays.
In the end, Broncos' 15-20 yard pass plays make all the difference.
