    Default OMG variance

    first 80 sngs at 15+1, roi 62%
    next 90 sngs at 15+1, roi -70%

    wtf mate?

I 4 table single table 15+1 turbos on stars, this is killing me, i was looking forward to moving up to 25+2's soon at 1200$ or so. now im at 430$ and am still seeing the same crap. I'm so often losing races and 60/40 flips that even when i have the other player to two outs, i expect to lose! I started this run at 500$ and and now im not sure if i should move down in stakes or not. should i stick it out?

You're still more or less bankrolled for single tabling the 15+1s, so maybe stay at the 15+1s but single rather than multi-table - will give you a chance to focus on each game carefully and check for any leaks.

Heh, K2, you're an FTRer .. ?! I played in the 10+1 with you last night - TbHackworth.

Anyways - when I get bad variance, I move down to 1 table, try to sort things out, look for the plays I'd usually miss when I'm multi-tabling, etc. I'm noticing an increase on my ROI now that I'm down to single tabling.

Go over hand histories, try to figure out if your game has changed, do you play too loosly, too tight etc...

Haha hey THac, how'd you do last night??

Thanks for the replies guys. I looked over a ton of HH's today and noticed how often I seem to raise hands like qjs, qjo, kqo and then get pushed over the top where I have to fold. I'd say about 1 in 6 times i have my money all in I have the better hand, 55-45 counts . Ill try 2 tabling or even single tabling for a while and then if im still dying ill head down a notch.

I finished 23rd for around $40. And yeah, those hands will get ya, slowly bleeding the chips out of you.

Stick it out, this is standard Stars turbo variance. I do highly recommend single-tabling your way through the downswing tho. Here is my swings from the $55+5s -

    loooks like a roller coaster!

Yeah I have been on a downswing four tabling, going to be moving down to one table, and then adding one more once I have played a buncha and am back on track.
