what do you do with this hand in early position? say with a medium to smallish stack.. I never feel as though I know what to do with this damn hand....

I think it depends. If you are above 10bb you should fold unless you are short handed at your table. If you have 6 maybe 7 players at your table it's playable with a raise. If you are a good player after the flop you may want to try playing suited AJ. Come in for a raise and try to hit your flop. If you are under 10bb you need to push it all in.

yeah mid to late position with an M under 10 i push this all day..its like what to do with an M in the yellow zone when i am UTG, UTG+1, +2 . Its almost a marginal hand at this point, and I have a hard time raising it up. at a tight table I probably would raise it anyway, but other than that.... suited it does seem alot more raisable though, you're right.
