Is calling this down horrible? Worst case scenario is that he has a f/d and MISSES and you don't stack him when he woulda called your flop raise a/i. Well, maybe it would be worse if his f/d HITS *and* he woulda folded to a raise preflop... but unlikely.
You are beat here fairly often. If stacks were deeper, you could re-raise to find out if he was just playing a PP.
It probably makes no difference since you are a/i on the turn. I just suspect that your folding equity here is very, very small. I am probably never folding AA unless the board comes running spades.
People call re-raises with AQ all the time. Then when they don't hit they fold. So, they get stacked on AXX QXX (vs AA) and stack you on QQX (or AXX vs KK!)
