    Default Lots of action AKs

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    BB (t1285)
    UTG (t2335)
    Hero (t1530)
    MP1 (t1870)
    MP2 (t940)
    MP3 (t1700)
    CO (t1725)
    Button (t520)
    SB (t1595)

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K, A.
UTG raises to t200, Hero raises to t400, 1 fold, MP2 raises to t940, 5 folds, UTG calls t740, Hero ...

MP2 has limped AQ and AKs from EP, and then check called down to the river with TPTK. UTG is a little loose and weak but hasnt done much.

given your reads - I can't push 'em all in fast enough.

Given your stack size I would push

    I would raise more preflop

Am I the only one that hates the converter here... I have to manually add the pot size... I guess it's 2400, hero has 900 and change behind, 540 to call.

UTG is either a moron or has a monster.... Or both. It's the both that gets me.

I would have just pushed over the inital raise. Now... if you call, 4.5:1, ,mandatory call I think.

What do you gain by pushing? Fold equity? Surely not. UTG+1 either has no concept of fold equity / isolation (i..e, moron) and/or doesn't care (i.e., AA). Hence, he MIGHT NOT REALIZE THAT YOU ARE COMMITTED TO THIS POT POST FLOP. He might be content to check it down if he misses! He might fold if you bet and he misses!. of course, you push if A/K/2 clubs fall... and call any bet because you have to see all 5 cards here.

It's a slim, slim edge against a seriously silly opponent, but I think you flat call this PRE-flop.
95% of the time, all your chips are in eventually, but maybe 5% (1%?) he checks it to showdown and you survive crippled vs. some crap like 66/AJ on a a JT842 board.

What does this tell you? He's too passive to reraise like that without a group 1-2 holding. If you want a coinflip or less, push. Otherwise find a better spot. MP2 is not fking around.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

even if he is behind mp2, he can go allin and get a sidepot going with UTG.

    i think pushing is +EV

    My thoughts:
MP2 had never shown aggression AT ALL. He limps AK flop comes K83 and he checks then calls.
Im always scared of the UTG min raise, maybe too much so. He raises sees a reraise and then a push and he calls. Granted he could be a donk.

I though MP2 would hold AQ or better and I figured UTG for QQ/KK. Am I giving them too much credit?

I think the pot at this point indicates that you push - you're too commited, so get those chips in and eat him for breakfast.
