Default My 4k Post and my 1 year at FTR.

Hi guys my name is Vincent and I am your moderator.
I have been at FTR for one year today.
One year ago was also when I started playing poker.
Over this time I developed and learned my game at FTR.
Thank you FTR for being a wonderful community and my internet home.
I hope I will be here for many years to come.

This is also my Four Thousandth Post so I decided that I would do something special.

The attached file is an excel spreadsheet that I created the summer of 2005. The file is 9 pages of spreadsheets that details push fold poker for
    Party Poker
    800 Chip SNG
    Level 4
6 handed through 4 handed (many situations covered)

I showed the file to boost and he said that it was confusing.
It is a little confusing. But if u have questions just post in this thread.

The charts are by no means perfect, if anything they are a tad on the tight side. They also do not take care of EVERY possible calling range. It attempts to approximate it as much as possible.

Please read the readme, i hope not all of u guys are excel illiterate. If hte text is too small, just zoom IN! (Freaking boost =D)

Again for the record. THIS IS NOT PERFECT! THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE PERFECT! It is a rough guide that is just more detailed than most other guides.

    Click
The File is hosted at megaupload.
    It works like rapidshare.
U have to wait in line for about half a minute in order to get access to the link, but its free and has no download limit so there u go.

    THank u FTR
    Vincent

P.s. guess my middle name and ill share with u my unfinished 75/150 chart =P.

So vqc, when are you going to put on a class and explain your spread? j/k Ok, so I will ask some questions that some may be afraid to ask.

How do you put people into a calling range? What am I missing?

The numbers out to the right on each of your spreads, are those the M's of each opponent?

    What's 0 or 1 lower?

If you can elaborate a little on your spread that would be great for us that have difficultly comprehending the simplest of things. Thx

Each talb says something like 6 handed 3 to act or 4 handed 2 to act. That means pretty much wat it says, that there are 6 people at the table and there are 3 people left to act after u.

So u go to that tab and then u see numbers on the left couting down. In increments of 0.5. Thats how many Big blinds u have.

Then if u pay close attention in the tab that says 6 handed 3 to act. You will see something that says 0 lower. That means that there are 0 people behind u with a stack lower than u. It does not tell u WHO it is, just that there is someone there with a stack lower than u.

Then each coloumn says M L A T. Those are calling ranges. If there are 3 people to act, if u look at the M coloumn. It assumes that all 3 people have the M calling range. If u use the T column, it assumes that all 3 people have the T calling range.

If the tab says 4 to act, it will cover stack size situations from 0 lower, all the way to 4 lower.

As for how u put ur opponents on ranges.... Thats why pushing is hard =D.
