I like it. You may win right there or he calls and you catch. No flush or pair on the board so I think that it is a good push.

I always push this, I almost always get called, I win 1/3rd of the time.

What would big stack possibly fold that he burned 100 chips on? 67s-89s?

Well, sometimes you dudes (chicks?) who think bigstack poker is limping anytwo and pushing any flop they hit or are checked to.

That's exactly what happened. Biggest problem is he had A5... and I made a pair of 4s on the river. Oh well.

Opponent was reasonably tight. I really thought I could get a laydown here. Not sure what possessed him to call with the gutshot.

Hm, that's rough, but that's a push I make about 90% of the time with a read on the villain. Good push, bad luck. =)

Again like I said in your other threads, I just dont get this. Your stack is WAY bigger then the pot, why do you open push this? I just cant see the value in it, he folds you have 1300, you are still short stacked... what did this do for you? He calls and you are behind 100% of the time, and win .. what .. 30-40% depending on what he calls with? Where is the ev in this? Why not check and get a free call, if he best THEN push. People will limp miss then min bet vs the bb a lot, and they cant call a check raise. You have no aparent strength here to me. With his stack I probably call you here too truthfully.. Well maybe not, but I dont think hes the donk people are making him out to be. Sorry but once again I dont understand the allin over bet.
You-- yes, you-- you're a cunt.

People call with gutshot A high because you are desperate and they think (or at least hope) you are bluffing.

Note that calling with A-high gutshot here is solid poker, if he has a read...
You probably would raise any A or PP out of the BB vs a limper.
There is a good chance you have a T on this flop... but he can afford to look you up. With A5 or A4 he has 7 (maybe 10 if you are pushing a 2 or 3) outs twice... even if you have a pair.

I think from big stack perspective, it's only correct to fold abolute nonsense like 98s unless hero (ss sb) is very, very weak/tight.
