    Background:
Middle stages of the tourney about 2 hours in.
I haven’t played a hand in about an orbit and a half so I decided to make a raise in LP. The caller is a loose player somewhat willing to chase. My initial read after the flop check by him is a flush draw. Would you fire the fourth bullet on the river or check. If you made another bet, how much?

Hand #2 Same Tourney as above

    PokerStars Game #3738990231: Tournament #18469577, Hold'em No Limit - Level XVII (4000/8000) - 2006/01/24 - 03:02:43 (ET)

    Sure_Shot-TP: folds
    scrimshaw: folds
PimpinNuts: raises 21690 to 37690 and is all-in
    Turning Leaf: ??????

Background: There are 14 players remaining with me being in 4 chip position. This is the first hand dealt after the fourth break. I have been playing on this table for about 40 minutes and have a pretty good read on the other players. My thoughts on nixiepixie is tight aggressive and have seen him show down good hands. Pimpin Nuts is somewhat loose and willing to gamble.

What would you do here? Smooth call, reraise to isolate, reraise all in or fold to make the final table.

I will post the outcome after a few responses

    Looking forward to some responses

hand 1 - totally read dependent. If you are pretty sure he has the flush draw bet the river again. I would bet whatever it is you would actually bet against this guy if you had AQ here. With your read though, it looks like he might call down with any A here or even with the 9. Checking and leaving yourself 20 k here is not a bad option.

Hand 2 - yikes. Pimpin is shortstacked so you definitely want to call that. The question is what range of hands you put TAG nixie on. KK, AA, and AK are your only worries, but if his range includes 99+; AQ, AJ, ATs, QK, etc. then I would push. Calling and betting a non-A flop is not a horrible option either.

Edit - I take it back. You are too close to the FT and too chip depleted by calling to just call. I think you should push.

Hand 1... the only think that folds that you don't beat is like a single 4/6/7/9. Since we we think he's on the crub frush draw, that leaves 7Xc 9Xc T8 made a straight. I am too worried about a slowplayed straight or set to bet here. Yeah, I might have folded 7Xc... but your betting is too weak be top pair on this board. I check.

Hand 2. Could the UTG m/r be a steal from big stack??? I kinda doubt it. You cannot cold call for 2 reasons, 1) as chardizard stated, too many chips. 2) UTG big stack is yet to act. You're in 4th place? Man. This is a tough, tough lay down.

If UTG raise is a standard size, I push and pray it's a steal, low pair, or KQs or some garbage. If it's a fishy size and alarm bells are ringing... I think you gotta fold.
