    Default Standard?

$10+1 on stars - just wondering if I should play differently with this hand...the previous hand i made the same pre flop raise with AKs and was called by a short stack with JJ (he only had 180 chips) but i caught an A on the river.

    So my questions are
    a) does anyone bet more preflop
    b) does anyone not push where i did given preflop moves

    You got trained. J/K, Standard.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

    Same as above ^^^^

    Except without the trained part.

Given what you said about same raise w AKs on the previous hand (and I assume it was the hand that was just before this one), I change it up a bit here. You're lucky you got a call at all.

From what you said, I probably bet less rather than more (2.5x instead of 4x). Then that flop looks pretty harmless. I min-raise opp's bet, and let him commit himself. - If he calls you, he's down to 690 chips and the pot's 2300. - he may just push himself.

This wasn't intended as a bad beat post, but it may look that way i guess.

Basically opp called with 33 which held up, but it just got me thinking - he actually called 175 which was just under 10% of his stack, so if he had known i had a big pair he would just about have odds to call for set value, knowing he would double up if he flopped a set, and it got me wondering if opp had put me on big pair when i made the raise and if because of that i should have bet more preflop.

Then i woke up and remembered that i'd seen his first 20 hands or so and that would just be giving him far too much credit, and also i didnt want it to fold round when i had AA really.

If anything, you raised too much pre-flop... 4x... bleah.
Once he bets that flop... it's over. No escape. I might not push over, because I really, really REALLY don't want to fold QJs or some shiite.
