Default Ethics... or lack there of

I've seen several post about ethical delimas and what not, and i tell you i have none. this is poker, this is war. about the only thing i wont do is collude...

I was heads up in a 22 today on full tilt when we came to the four minute break. since i was also playing a tier 3 69+6, that was nearing the button i decided to take the break and use the time to focus more on tier 3 table. about a minute into the break i decided that the tier3 payed more than the 22 and i'd be better off just to finish the 22 quickly.

well my opponent must have decided he was gonna take the time to do something else also and was sitting out. when i came back he had 6386 chips to my 7114, once i realized what the situation i couldn't raise and muck my hand fast enough. when he came back his stack was 4736 to my 8764 and i was sorry he came back so soon

Of course i felt i had the upperhand heads up and could've beaten him straight up, but i will take advantage of any edge

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

When I started half a year ago I built my BR from scratch playing 1+.1 SNGs. When it reached 20 or so I decided to play a 3+.25. After about 1 orbit the entire server went down. I was pretty miffed about this since it was such a large buy-in! I tried reconnecting for a while without success, gave up and then had dinner. When I got back from dinner the server was up again, the tourney was still running, but unsurprisingly none of the other players were logged in.

    I took first place.

    lol

but yeah...if an opp is going to sit out for a long period of time, there is no reason not to attempt to blind him out, even more when people who are in the money. Now if they ask for a few min., thats your call, I'd give em a few, but if they just go, fuck em.

I've done that before. Always a little awkward when he gets back though.

If he sits out without any good reason it is a valid behaviour

How can you give someone time? don't you have a limited time to act on your hand??

I've never had that problem myself, if someone ever asked me for time i would tell them "No problem!, take 5 minutes!", then I'd wait about 20 seconds and start raping their blinds.

    This is poker, it's a cut-throat game.
I wouldn't hesitate to checkraise my own grandma!

Last night I came home drunk and was playing some $5 heads up matches on Stars for shits and giggles. When one match started the other guy was not connected and I couldnt steal his blinds fast enough! When he came back this went down and I feel the poker gods were teaching me a lesson for my cheek, so you have all been warned!!!!

This happened to me 2 days ago. I was heads up, I had fought my way back to about even stack, I was down like 5:10 and got back to even. Then the guy disco's.. I know I have the advantage heads up vs this guy, and now hes disconnected for who knows how long? Why am I gonna let the blinds rise while I wait for him? I mean I think its his fault (or if its his interent, it could just as well have happened to me.. and I wouldnt expect anyone to wait) and Im not gonna wait til we both have like 8x the bb then he finally comes back, and then its just a crap shoot (I still have an edge here .. but less of one). Also if you decide to wait for him, what do you do if you get AA on the button, you fold? And if you dont fold that, what about AK? where does it stop? Q7 is better then average, however slightly, do you take his blinds with this too?
You-- yes, you-- you're a cunt.
