Default First hand and second hand of SnG. Thoughts?

This is the literal first and second hands of a tourney. I've left results in. I know people say not to but how can you post 2 hands together without including results?

Was the first hand misplayed? Was the 2nd hand a stupid move? I can't decide if I played these wrong or right!

Maybe that turn check was an obvious check-raise attempt, but I saw it (based on the last hand) as his "oh shit" moment.

    Thoughts?

    No hindsight for the blind.
1st hand: fold crappy hands in crappy position preflop. Dont overbet the flop, a 1/2- to 2/3-pot bet will do the same as a potsized bet if no one's got the king. Don't push the river, bet for value.

2nd hand: I think I raise to 400 on the flop. Don't push the turn when a scare card comes, you will only get called if he has the flush. A nice bet is enough for you to see where you stand. If he folds that's nice, if he check-raises you know what he has. If he flat calls you need to re-evaluate the situation on the river.

By pushing, are you trying to scare him off, representing the flush? If so, think about how you would play the flush if you did have it; would you push all in to make him fold, or would you bet for value?

    Thanks for the replies.

    Hand 1:
HalvSame - i see what you're saying don't play it - usually Q7s is an auto-fold... but in my experience a lot of players will often try to limp to see the first flop of the game. When the player utg limped i quickly joined it.

Flopped the 2nd nut flush draw and bottom pair and decided to set my own price for the turn. I see what you mean about overbetting it, though.

VQC: Interesting that you check the turn on both of these. Reminds me of your other thread about your KK where you call it down and I keep attacking. I understand why you would think here that you're not ahead, but I did still think I could get a fold on the turn, and the J had just given me a few more outs. I thought I was behind to a K.

Hand 2: Here, I can see that checking the turn is a good one. I didn't think he had the flush, I thought he had turned the 4-flush, or was checking because he thought i hit the flush... I thought I was still ahead. Weird play I suppose.

Mini-tilt i think from doubling up first hand and expecting the next guy to be as stupid as the first one.

The problem with betting the turn is that you give villain the opportunity to check-raise you. If he pushes over your bet you will be forced to fold, I think it's better to take the free card with your strong draw.

    Interesting.

I don't often get check-raised, you know. Very very rarely. I don't remember the last time.

I do, however, get slowplayed a fair bit. One of the few downsides of being aggressive, isn't it? The turn card is, and always has been, the hardest element of poker.

Anyway ta for the comments. I will bear them in mind.
