Hey guy, i looked over lasts months totals and it was not good considering how many hours i put in. I am waiting to go fishing next month so i had last month and this month off so i put in 198 hours and made $ 140. I realize that the reason why it wasent more was because i am calling off sooo much money to better hands. So this month with the help of you guys im learning doing better and im in the + this month. The reason im posting this hand is of course for you guys to critique but to also show you guys that you guys are helping me think more about the hand all the way through. I laid down top 2 pair with a str8 and flush draw on the board and i was getting like 2.8 to 1 on my money on his river bet but his continuous calling throughout the hand when i had the obvious hand combined with his value bet on the river made me think i was beat. I asked him and he said he had Ah 2h for the flush. Did i play this wrong?

I think you played it well.. there's not much you can do when it hits on the turn. I'm always wary when there's 2 suits on the flop, so you should sometimes be content with taking down the pot right there, perhaps with a slightly bigger bet. Right now you're laying him $2 into a $3+$0.50+$2.50=$6 pot, you might want to make it tougher for him to call that. Great fold on the river, I think. Unless he's an advanced player representing the flush, I'd give him credit for it.

Also, if you're just starting out, and are a break-even or slightly profitable player, I'd recommend bonus-whoring, to help boost your profits and BR. (unless you're really inclined to play at full tilt)
