    Default Troubles at $50NL

Well I've taken some time to move up to $50NL (party network) but I seem to be having a hard time adjusting. I've only played about 3K hands(I know it's a small sample size) but I can't seem to get anywhere. I've been up and down up and down. It feels like check/raise is the normal and everyone is trying to make "plays" at you. I'm not sure if I keep running into good hands or if it is actually the case that nobody believes you have the cards you are repping.

I feel I'm ready to move up as I absolutely dominate the $25NL tables but I'm not having the same confidence at $50NL. Plus, I'm having a hard time wanting to sit at these tables when the $25 tables tend to be only a few dollars smaller on average pot size. In short, any suggestions?

At 25NL, very few people notice betting patterns or pick up on moves. 50NL is usually the players that dominated 25NL and moved up. They will be smarter and more aware. Therefore, you'll probably have a harder time making money at first. However, one reason to move up is to get better while increasing your $/hr. Over time you will probably make adjustments and dominate 50NL. It's just not a cakewalk like 25NL.

I just moved up to 50 and it is interesting. I have found that if you just use the same tactics as 25NL, but mix up your play more, you'll do well.

One of my favorite moves that seems to work at 50 when you have been aggressive preflop:

When you miss the flop, instead of going with the standard continuation bet, I like to occasionally just check out of position, and then do a check raise bluff. Works like a charm.

At 25NL, opponents made bad decisions for you. At 50NL, You must begin to force your opponents into bad decisions. How do you intend on accomplishing this?
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
