This is No Fold 'Em poker so your opponents could have any 2 cards under the sun and they just have to see what you have. I honesly can't give any advice in this hand but I would suggest is try to make draw cheap on straights and flushes and sets and bet hard on those hand at those levels.

hmmm ok, it smelled to me like he hit the straight right on the flop ... or possibly pocket AA. You think though at this level its more profitable to go for it though?

I'm a relative beginner, a lot of the advice in the beginner's circle has been that unless I have reason to believe otherwise, aggressive betting like this usually indicates a made hand.

I think I may fold this on the flop. I don't see AA making this move as there probably would have been more raising preflop. The hands that you beat are a lower pair, but I don't see a lower pair being this aggressive. There are a lot of hands that beat you here including 2 pair and a set. Not to mention the aforementioned flopped straight, which you suspected. I suspect either a set or flopped straight.

Just consider the hand that you beat... why would they be this aggressive with top pair on such a scary board?

True but this is the type of board that convinces not so good hands like A8 that they are better then they really are. Crap players never really consider overpairs in situations like this.

I get it all in on the flop alright. On the turn I'm not so sure but think you should call based on the size of the pot.

Thanks for the advice. For the record ... I folded on the turn, got scared off ... in retrospect I should have made the decision on the turn.

The villian had JJ which means I would have won had I gone AI.
