General question when to push back when you are in the money and a full table is down to 3. I have been noticing that I have been getting too many 3rd place finishes and today I had 2 hands that may illustrate the reason why. 1st hand is 66 .They raised I pushed them all in knowing that they might call but also pretty sure I had the best hand. The next was A9s I pushed them all in after they bet knowing they might call. If the hand is marginally the best hand is not wise push if you think they are going to call. In that case is better to fold the hand rather then push being that you know there is only one way to win the hand which is to out draw them. Instead of two if you were the original better.
Maybe there is anouther option which is call and bet the flop nomatter what comes up then atleast I am living on the fate of three card rather then five.

It's called the Stop and Go, read the "Sit and Go Moves" sticky.

Stop + go is great with small pockets as long as an A doesn't come.

Recommendations are to bump up your starting hand requirements a bit by high card; 88 is much better than 66, and 99 is much better than 88. A8s is better than A8o, and ATo is better than both, but ATs is much better than both.

Try to stick to stealing mostly and try not to get involved with the short stack too much because he's gonna be putting alot of your chips at risk. Push over very aggressive big stacks but not tight or semitight ones. Call tight small stack pushes with A9s, ATo or better, loose ones with A8o+, and both with 88 or better (77 can bet good too), but you should be raising down to 66 and 55, and any ace, any 2 faces, suited connectors, and c-betting about half the flops.

Stack/Blind sizes dictate whether or not you are playing those hands or not. If you think you are best then it is only correct to fold if ICM dictates it (an explanation of ICM can be found in the FAQ).
