Looking back at the hand, I think I might've shouldve led instead of check-raising. At least that way I wouldve possibly been able to get away from the hand but thinking about the player's position. He couldve raised with A/9 or been raising me with a club draw. I usually stick to a no set, no bet rule for small to mid pairs but I usually get into alot of trouble when I have an overpair to the board.
