I'm check calling with odds here. Too early to jam. The benefit in added leverage when you win a pot at this stage is next to nill. If the preflop aggressor bets scared, I might hang around and take one shot at knocking him off the pot with either a check raise on the flop, or a call and then lead the turn strong, especially if I don't get my spade and another straight card lines up giving me added fold equity. The thing you have to keep in mind is that opponents at this level are calling stations, so it's hard to find a situation where you would hang out here, since most attempts to fold out a better hand will backfire, and when you'll be handed so much value on a silver platter later.

Basically you only ever hang around without odds in this spot if you can sniff out some good fold equity. Otherwise let it go. You're in a blind hole.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

This hand is a little interesting. In the shorter stack games (Party), I push this every day (assuming I haven't doubled up already).

But when you're sitting with 1300 behind on this level, I would think that we have more options. FWIW, I still think pushing the flop here is best ~ if you have any inclination at all of getting all your chips in the middle - no matter what - I think you should push rather than c/r allin.

Also, I think you'd be suprised how much pot equity you have here. Against AA, you have 37%, and against QQ you're still ahead.

So, what about checking? Well, I'm not sure what I'd do exactly. If it checks through, no harm done. If there's a small bet and a call, I prolly push. If someone else pushes, I might fold. Bah, I just don't like the c'r allin. So if someone pots it, I would want to move in here, so I think just pushing first is best. I mean, ~ 25% of your remaining stack is in the middle. Your hand is very strong. I don't want to be charged too much to see a blank turn card.

How'd I do? I assume you lost this hand.
