Default $5.50 Stars - JJ OOP, lead on the flop?

Around the 15th hand of the tourney. No real reads on villain, but after these few hands he has been semi-LAG preflop and passive postflop. Anyways, onto the hand...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    UTG (t2525)
    MP (t950)
    CO (t4370)
    Button (t2205)
    Hero (t1540)
    BB (t1910)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, J.
1 fold, MP raises to t90, 1 fold, Button calls t90, Hero raises to t240, 1 fold, MP folds, Button calls t150.

    Flop: (t600) A, 3, 6 (2 players)
Hero bets t250, Button raises to t660, Hero folds.

    Final Pot: t1510

Preflop I know I will get varying opinions on how to handle JJ, I opted for the reraise here to try to get it heads up. Would a flat call have been better?

On the flop there are two suited cards and an Ace, I really didnt think I could just check and give a free card so I thought I would lead out with a bet. If I shouldnt have bet here, why not? And if I should have, was my bet the proper size? I cant imagine calling the reraise, but if that was wrong, let me know.

Huh, I don't play pokerstars often enough (maybe 300-500 tourneys total), but I can definately see why these games are so different. One thing for sure, you definately are forced to play more poker early, and I can see how somone who is good at pot manipulation would have quite an edge.

FWIW, I definately call here preflop, and lead out if you flop all unders (50% of the time), otherwise, I'm probably check/folding without improvement.

Def call preflop in these early blind levels IMO.

You cannot weak lead donk bet into a raiser like this unless you WANT to get raised. Check fold here.

edit: I didnt see that you had reraised from the small blind. Knowing that i guess a lead is ok, but that small of a lead is still going to get reraised. I dont like building big pots preflop from the blinds.

once you have re raised pre flop you must lead the flop, he probably even folds QQ KK here. you are repping the big A, bet like you would if you had AK. 250 is a little weak with the draws out, plus you invite a move in from a flush draw that you can't call.

Smooth calling pre flop is a lot less painful.

Alright, so with the reraise, the lead bet was alright in principal, just should have been larger? Playing the hand over from scratch though, is the common consensus simply to flat call here and then check fold? What situations would you reraise preflop, QQ+?

Reraise with hands you don't mind callers with.

Early in a $5 or $10 PS tourney with deep stacks, out of position, blinds at 15/30, I'm only re-raising AA, KK and QQ. Preflop, if the original pushes over I instacall with AA and KK and think about it with QQ (but probably call). With AK/JJ and under I'll just flat call and hope to hit the flop.

On the flop, with KK and QQ I lead out for about half the pot if an A comes, folding if re-raised and re-evaluating on the turn if called. If it's all unders I lead out for about the size of the pot.
