what does hero do from here???????
Yeah, this seems like a common spot.
Raising here seems so obvious, but I think it leaves more challenges then we really want. For example, the hope is we raise, and he weakly folds. If he 3 bets, I'd fold (chip spewing now), and the times that he calls, we're OOP on the turn.
Folding feels like someone took a $20 bill out of my pocket. It's not a lot of money to me, but I feel wronged.
on a K high board i would flat call no questions asked, but this is a 9 high board in a limped pot, and if i think i have a high percentage of taking the pot down here i raise. I am out of postion here and would like to take the pot down now, and if not take control at least. Villains bet looks like a standard check to me I'll bet im in postion line.
I do not like the check call line out of position because it is tough to get payed if i hit my hand. In position i can call and still extract the most value out of the hand if i hit.
I raised here.......
