Default Best Line w. TPMK OOP

Was lucky enough to win a $3.00 MTT last night ($755).

My play was pretty straight forward and I did get alot of good cards however one thing I notice is that I won alot of the above situations.

I'm not sure of I am playing these right or just got the right opponents at my table.

Typical situation: Most happened in the SB.
    I would complete with say Q9 , J8 , K9 or A8
Would end up playing with BB only.
Flop would bring my top pair.

I had a healthy stack size for most of these so I would lead out and bet my TP. May times I would bet out with no made hand as the BB was folding alot to bets. I took down alot of pots like this.

Several times the BB called my bet.
The turn brought a rag and I would bet out again.
BB called the turn bet. Now I'm alittle worried. To calls with position.

The River brings another rag. SHOULD I BET HERE of JUST CHK.
My line used to be to bet big and hope I don't get raised or a call only to be outkicked.
A check shows weakness and is inviting a bet to steal the pot.

Last night I bet out a smallish amount I think like 1/3 pot maybe alittle more. Is this too WEAK or is this considered a BLOCKING BET?

I actually got calls on the small bets and out outkicked my opps. to take the pots.

I never got re-raised and think depending on its size would have call/folded.

    Hope this ain't too confusing.

    Thanks
Why is it a penny for your thoughts but
you have to put your 2 cents in??

TPMK HU in a battle of the blinds with no raise preflop, I'm typically ready to go to the mattresses, reads may make me re-evaluate, but if there's nothing specific telling me different, I usually like this situation pretty well.

For the record, just completing with A8 is probably a mistake IMO - it's strong enough to advise a raise and not strong enough to warrant trapping. But then I'm aggressive HU and would probably raise the majority of the hands you mentioned preflop.

I often do raise these preflop.

Actually I will mix it up a bit and do both.

    Thanks

Mixing is good. Your post just talked specifically about limping, so I figured I'd through that caveat in there.
